BHI is a Canadian-owned company that was founded in 1988. The Head Office is located close to Pearson International Airport in Toronto, and consists of 25,000 square feet of warehouse and office space, showroom and support facilities. BHI has 20 full time employees.

BHI has three distinct operating divisions, as follows:

DFX Distribution:

DFX distributes cosmetics and fragrances from Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Oscar de la Renta, Lancaster, Lancôme, YSL, Christian Dior, Jean Patou and others under exclusive Canadian distribution agreements. DFX also distributes confectionery from Nestle throughout North America, as well as handling distribution of Guylian chocolates. It has also expanded into gift items such as Hugo Boss sunglasses. DFX purchases in bulk and re-sells in any quantity.

The Diplomat Collection

In December 1990, BHI commenced its marketing effort aimed at the diplomatic community in Canada. This consisted of producing and distributing a catalogue featuring the full line of fragrances, watches, leather goods, scarves and accessories, cosmetics, jewelry, confectionery and tobacco. Orders are taken by mail, fax, and web, and are shipped prepaid to the various embassies, consulates and missions across Canada, as well as to members of the Canadian diplomatic corps posted overseas.
